Ahead of World Mental Health Day on 10th October, Amy Smythe, winner of the “Community Change” category at MWOTY 2023 has launched the From Worries to Wellbeing CIC, running alongside The Worry Wizard®, as well as announcing some exciting new resources.

The mission of the new CIC is to support the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people, and adults by providing therapeutic materials designed to help them engage with and nurture their mental health.

In line with this mission, The Worry Wizard has launched a brand new digital download for parents and carers wondering how to support their child’s mental health, ‘Active-8 Your Wellbeing’.

The resource has been written by Amy Smythe, a specialist children’s counsellor and psychotherapist, and is a treasure trove of fun and imagination for children and their key grownups.

It includes eight unique therapeutic activities that empower children to connect with and nurture their mental health with confidence, as well as everything adults need to understand how they can best support their child’s wellbeing to shine.

The “Active-8 Your Wellbeing” resource will help to provide:

  • Shared Language: It creates a common vocabulary to explore worries and build wellbeing, making conversations easier and more effective
  • Emotional Literacy: Children develop a better understanding of their emotions, learn to label feelings, and express themselves more effectively
  • Worry Management Tools: The Worry Wizard equips children with practical tools to manage worries, reducing anxiety and stress
  • Positive Self-Image: By fostering a positive sense of self, children build confidence and resilience
  • Emotional Resilience: The program strengthens children’s ability to bounce back from challenges and setbacks
  • Wellbeing Qualities: It encourages the understanding and development of qualities that contribute to overall wellbeing

It will be available to purchase from Thursday 10th October in The Worry Wizard online shop.

The initial pack will be followed by future packs, so that children and their key adults can continue their journey together.
