We have supported MWOTY as headline sponsor since 2014, so this will be our sixth year of involvement.
When we first heard about MWOTY and the amazing women who were identified by the awards, we knew immediately that we wanted to be involved. As a business we try to sponsor local charities and MWOTY is ideal as it applauds local women for their fantastic charitable, creative and business achievements.
The event is unique in that it celebrates amazing women for a variety of outstanding achievements. It helps to provide not only the overall winner, but also those nominated, a platform to further their achievements.
Each year the event launch is an exciting time because we know that no matter how good the previous year’s nominees have been, there are always more women achieving great things to be celebrated.
Judging day can be difficult but mostly it leaves us all feeling uplifted and inspired, after reading about these special women in our community. Meeting the shortlisted nominees a few days before the awards is also a lovely touch, as any one of them could be the overall winner.
The day of the awards is such a special day, not only for those nominated but for the sponsors and attendees too. There is always excitement, laughter and tears but more than that, it is truly an inspirational and memorable day.
Everyone who attends feels quite special to be able to be part of such a fabulous event and generally leaves feeling a little humble.
There are no other awards in the region dedicated to highlighting the unsung heroines of Merseyside which is one of the reasons that we feel so privileged to be involved. All of the nominees are worthy of winning and we continue to be a part of MWOTY to support the legacy that these awards create for future amazing women in our region.
Without MWOTY hundreds of women would not have been recognised for their great achievements and perhaps may not have been able to continue their excellent work. We are proud to be involved in helping those women continue to shine and provide them with the support to do so.
