The Positivitree Holds Household Support Day

On Tuesday 18th November, The Positivitree held a Household Support Day at the New Hope Centre in Egremont, creating a warm and welcoming space filled with support, connection and kindness.

Through the Household Support Fund, the charity – which is lead by CEO and MWOTY 2025 finalist Tamara Gilbert – was able to provide vouchers to families of children and young people with additional health or care needs. This support makes a meaningful difference for families feeling the ongoing pressures of the cost-of-living crisis, helping with essentials such as food, fuel and important household items.

The organisation brought together a full room of friendly and supportive organisations so families could access multiple services under one roof. Teams from Energy Project Plus, Family Toolbox, Koala North West, Involve North West and Branch offered guidance, reassurance and practical next steps. The day was filled with gratitude and emotional moments that provided a heart-warming reminder of the power of community coming together.

One parent said: “Thank you so much for today and our voucher!  What a team you all are! You were all so supportive and caring. It lifted such a weight off our shoulders”, while another added: “We were amazed at how much support was in one room. Being able to speak to people face to face made everything feel less overwhelming.”
