Liverpool business and MWOTY sponsor Rise Construction Framework has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity through social mobility.
Rise Construction Framework is one of 252 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise. Announced today (Monday 6 May). Rise Construction Framework has been recognised for its excellence in Promoting Opportunity through social mobility.
A total of 257 Awards are made with five companies being recognised with two Awards.
Employing 4 people, Rise Construction Framework was founded in 2016 and is a purpose driven business providing procurement services to the public-sector across the Northwest. With a deep understanding of the impact poverty has on communities, Rise uses profits to directly fund the VCSFE sector to deliver vital community prevention and intervention services. Initiatives funded by Rise tackle some of today’s most complex societal issues including domestic violence, homelessness, worklessness and poor mental health.
In addition to this in 2020 Rise founded a bespoke service for care leavers called Thrive. Thrive is a dedicate safe space where care leavers can meet with support workers whilst accessing specialist wrap around support and advice. Since its inception Thrive has supported thousands of young people moving hundreds into meaningful employment so they can live happy safe and fulfilling lives.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 58th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country, with successful businesses able to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
