This year’s MWOTY Business Leader, Jennifer Greenan has retained the title of Green Business of the Year for the second year running with her company E-Verve Energy.
Jennifer collected the coveted award at the St Helens Borough Business Awards in both 2021 and again in 2022 making her business the first to ever hold the title for 2 years!
Judges commended Jennifer for her leading role in the Boroughs high profile Together to Zero project, which became a catalyst for her company’s diversification into other areas of the green sector this year including: Solar PV, battery storage systems and air source heat pumps.
Jennifer’s Green Energy company now delivers annual carbon savings of over 50,000 tons of CO2 each year via its green tech installations and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, in addition to giving back to the community.
From September this year Jennifer’s charity Electric Futures is set to reach all 56 Primary Schools in St Helens with interactive sessions delivered in collaboration with St Helens Chamber of Commerce. The sessions aim to deliver green energy awareness and raise aspirations around future learning and career paths in the sector with a focus on breaking down the gender gap in STEM roles.
Jennifer’s success at the awards has qualified her business for the National Chamber of Commerce Awards later this year.
