The Big Help Project (BHP) has enjoyed double award success at the Liverpool Chamber Awards, winning the Community Impact Award and the Health and Wellbeing Award for Yoga Nation, the health and wellbeing arm of BHP.
The organisation is no stranger to celebration for its work, with its Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Colette Goulding, being nominated for the Merseyside Women of the Year Awards in 2022, coming runner-up in the Social Impact Award category.
The Liverpool Chamber awards took place on the 26th of October and were attended by representatives from both Big Help Project and Yoga Nation. As an organisation dedicated to alleviating the impact of poverty on people across the Liverpool City Region, its services, which include Food Clubs, advice teams, housing, and sustained work with the Ukrainian community since the full-scale invasion last year, were all recognised as having had a significant impact on the community with which the organisation works every day.
A spokesperson for the Big Help Project said: “The teams working every day to deliver our services to the community are a huge part of the impact that Big Help have and we’re so proud to celebrate those services with this award. Alleviating the pressure of poverty is not a simple task, and our teams take on the responsibility of working with service users to break down those obstacles as much as possible.”
