Tickets for the The Choir with No Name (CWNN) Liverpool’s annual “Big Christmas Singalong” are now on sale, with the choir set to get the festive season off to a jolly start on Monday 9th December.
The CWNN Liverpool, a choir involving people impacted by homelessness, is managed by Ema Quinn, winner of MWOTY 2024’s “Women Making a Difference” category.
The fun-filled Christmas extravaganza returns to the Tung Auditorium for the second year, and everyone is invited to come along and join in singing all their favourite festive songs.
Led by Choir Director, Mersey Wylie, the Choir with No Name will be performing with its iconic brand of Christmas joy and cheer alongside special guests the Asylum Link Merseyside Choir and Liverpool Rainbow Chorus, the city’s LGBT+ choir.
Guests can expect an evening of truly joyful performances, filled with festive magic and sing-alongs to release the Christmas spirit and raise the roof of the auditorium – and they’re expected to be in good voice too!
CWNN Liverpool Choir Manager and MWOTY 2024 Alumni, Ema Quinn, said: “If people want to get Christmas started with a burst of joy, they need to come to our Big Christmas Singalong. Together with our fabulous special guests, representing our city’s diverse and beautiful communities, we’ll be singing our hearts out and spreading festive cheer far and wide.
“As well as wanting to get people in the seasonal swing of things, coming to our show has a big impact in other ways too. The profits made through ticket sales and donations on the night support the cost of keeping our weekly choir rehearsal running and our members singing well into the future.
“The choir is a supportive family where, for many, a conventional family may not exist. Singing together supports our members’ health and wellbeing, builds their support network, their self-confidence and helps them to move away from homelessness long term. So, with that in mind, having as many people as possible at our show to sing along with us will be a fabulous and vitally important Christmas gift to us all.”
The Choir with No Name runs choirs and builds joyful singing communities with homeless and marginalised people, around the UK, with the Liverpool group singing its heart out since 2014 and celebrating its tenth year in 2024.
