Sue Connerty Finalist in North West Director of the Year Awards 2019
Merseyside Woman of the Year 2018, Sue Connerty, has been named a finalist in the 2019 North West & Isle of Man Director of the Year awards.
The prestigious ceremony, hosted by the Institute of Directors (IoD), celebrates the very best of business leaders across the North West and Isle of Man and acknowledges their impact on the region’s business community and economy.
Sue has been recognised in the Third Sector category for her work with her charity, the Walking With Giants Foundation, alongside leaders from a range of high profile organisations in the sector.
Speaking of the shortlisting, Sue said: “I am incredibly proud to have been named a finalist in this award. Before being named Merseyside Woman of the Year I didn’t have the confidence to walk into a networking or business event, let alone to speak to anyone.
“The MWOTY team has welcomed me into its vast network of supporters and contacts, as well as sponsors such as Michael Halsall Solicitors. With their support I have grown in confidence and developed the skills I needed to take the Walking With Giants Foundation to the next level. My inclusion in the short list is testament to that.”

Her nomination is a fitting testament to both her unending hard work for the charity and also to MWOTY for highlighting such a wonderful woman and helping her shine.
