MWOTY 2019 ‘Business Leader of the Year’ category winner, Rita Waters, received a very important invitation this month, to attend the King’s Coronation on 6th May.
Sharing the exciting news and a photograph of the invitation on Facebook, Rita quipped “Think I’m going to need a new hat! 👑”
National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS) CEO, Rita, was recognised at the 2019 awards for her work at the NYAS helm, broadening the charity’s reach, improving efficiency and strengthening its influence. Her achievements included relocating the NYAS National Helpline from Birmingham to Wirral, securing new contracts, attracting new private sector funding for the charity and strengthening NYAS’ presence in Wales under the NYAS Cymru brand.
Commenting on her MWOTY win in 2019, Rita said: “It’s fantastic to be recognised by an event that is intended to celebrate the achievements of women and help to leave a legacy of female role models for future generations. I’m humbled to be sharing the awards spotlight with some truly inspirational women and am very grateful to be part of the NYAS team, without whom this award would not be possible. Importantly, securing this award will help to build NYAS’ profile, further strengthening our influence when it comes to campaigning for positive change on behalf of children and young people. ”
We’re sure this latest – very special – invitation will propel the organisation’s visibility even further. We hope you have a fabulous day Rita!
