MWOTY 2022 Social Impact winner, Natalie Denny, has seen two of her monologues published in Bloomsbury’s Hear Me Now Volume Two, a second volume of works intended to help actors of colour to showcase their range, as well as inspire, empower, and create a legacy for generations to come.
The book is a unique collection of over 80 original audition monologues, expressly created by Natalie and a range of writers including Vera Chok, Josh-Susan Enright and Bea Webster, brought together by producer Titilola Dawudu and Tamasha Theatre Company.
The monologues are ideal for actors of colour searching for speeches for auditions or training, writers, teachers, and theatre-makers who are passionate about improving diversity. The volume is introduced by BAFTA-nominated actor Ashley Madekwe, and will also feature a section on Top Tips for auditioning from Tamasha and a host of actors, including Ted Lasso’s Kevin ‘KG’ Garry and Cherrelle Skeete of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
In an exciting and successful few months for Natalie and her various projects, her education social enterprise, Skywriters Ltd, has been shortlisted at the Best Start Up Business category in Merseyside Independent Business Awards 2022, with the winners set to be announced on Thursday 20th October at Rum Warehouse at the Titanic Hotel.
Skywriters Ltd have also partnered with #LivLitCycle to organise 150 Books for 150 Years: A birthday celebration event for Sefton Park. The now sold-out Book Treasure Hunt will take place on Saturday 1st October 10am-1pm.
