International Women’s Day 2026, Sunday 8th March, is just around the corner and there are a host of events in the city region to celebrate and amplify the cause.
This year’s theme is ‘Give To Gain’, a concept that the MWOTY movement fully supports, because when we give, we gain. This year’s theme encourages a mindset of generosity and collaboration and emphasises the power of reciprocity and support.
This power is ever-present in the MWOTY network, as our alumni, sponsors and supporters work together to improve the lives of people in the Liverpool City Region and beyond.
MWOTY Founding Director, Ellie Kerr, said: “This year’s theme for IWD is one that is so close to my heart. The organisers of IWD 2026 have said of the theme: ‘Giving is not a subtraction, it’s intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise’ – this idea is central to the founding principles of MWOTY.”
