Join the debate on the future of Liverpool’s unique film studio, Toxteth TV, with the woman who initiated the project that launched it.
On Friday 6th November at the Hope Street Hotel Club Room, Tod Davies will return to the city to talk about Toxteth TV’s beginnings, to open a discussion into what the community wants and needs from the project, and to discuss how to make that a reality.
Tod Davies has been an author, editor, screenwriter, film producer, radio host, ghostwriter, advice columnist and publisher. Along with her husband, filmmaker Alex Cox, they lived and worked in Toxteth in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Tod’s Liverpool based projects included writing and producing the film Three Businessmen as well as producing Revengers Tragedy, both set in Liverpool. In her time there, she also produced two documentaries for the UK’s Channel 4, Kurosawa: The Last Emperor, and Emmanuelle: A Hard Look.
But of all her Liverpool projects, the one she remembers with the most pride is Toxteth TV.
Join her and the community for a conversation at 6pm Friday 6th November 2026, in the Hope Street Hotel Club Room.
