Juliana Pinheiro Landim, Director of MWOTY 2023 Arts, Culture & Media category winner, Katumba, is launching a series of Music, Movement and Mindfulness sessions, aimed at busy and stressed women and gender non-conforming people.
Recognising that many find themselves stressed, drained and disconnected from their authentic self, the sessions are designed to allow attendees to treat themselves to self care.
Drawing from her Afro-native Brazilian heritage practices, on Friday 3rd May, Juliana will take participants on a journey of sound, movement, breathwork and liberation, harnessing the power of Beltane, the fire, sun festival which marks the midway between the spring equinox and summer solstice. It is also the time of Oxum/Oshun the orisha (divine spirit) of feminine power, fostering creativity and transformative potential.
The immersive session promises to help regulate the nervous system and release stress from the body and mind. It will reconnect participants with their inner power, and re-energise and empower!
Tickets cost £20 and are available to purchase here. Pay what you can tickets are also available, email hello@katumba.co.uk to book these tickets.
The session will take place at Katumba Culture Hub, John Archer Hall, L8 1YR.
