Jennifer was the 2022 winner of the Merseyside Women of the Year, Business Leader Award which committed MWOTY supporter the Financial Planning Corporation  proudly sponsored this year.

Earlier this month Managing Partner Moira O’Shaughnessy and FPC planner Antonia Roberts had the opportunity to congratulate Jennifer in person and catch up over lunch.

Jennifer is a Director of E-Verve Energy along with her husband Jordan and their close friends Craig and Simon. In 2018 the company was ‘birthed’ (she very much considers it her 3rd child!)  through a combination of Jennifer’s accountancy and systems audit background along with the other partners’ electrical engineering experience and expertise.

In just a short few years, the company has become one of the UK’s leading independent providers of electrical vehicle charging infrastructure, and have installed over 10,000 domestic charge points in addition to a vast commercial portfolio.

E-Verve was named Green Business of the Year in 2021 at the St Helens Borough Business Awards and subsequently received the Environmental and Sustainability Award for 2022 at the Echo Business Awards. They are passionate about the use of Electric Vehicles and the benefits sustainable transport models have in supporting carbon reduction for future generations.

Jennifer also founded The Electric Futures Charity Trust in June 2021 with the aim of bringing green energy awareness to young people. She singlehandedly developed curriculum linked learning and activity resources for primary school children. Its aim is to provide an overview of fossil fuels and green energy sources, exploring how we can make better choices for the future to look after our planet and our health.

A thoroughly inspiring Business Leader; we look forward to keeping in touch and to meeting up with other winners and nominees over the coming year!
